Very Fine Cased Massachusetts Arms Percussion Pocket Revolver Serial Number 2137

3 and 1/4 inch octagonal barrel, 31 caliber.

Based on the English Adams revolver this example is in excellent original condition retaining a strong 75%+ of its original bright bluing on barrel and frame. The cylinder retains 50% bright blue mixing with brown. Finish on triggerguard has turned. Buttcap still has 85% bright blue. Walnut grip is excellent with sharp checkering. Action is excellent. Screws have most of their bright blue finish. Bore is fine.

This lovely Civil War period revolver is cased in its original mahogany box with original purple velvet lining. Case interior rates excellent with only minor wear. Excellent original Mass Arms brass bullet mold. Fine Ely cap tin with most of its japanned finish. The eagle stand of arms flask is very fine with most of its original lacquer remaining and much original gilding on the spout. The flask is free from dents. Exterior of case with one tight split and one score but has lots of original varnish.
