A Very Rare British Yeomanry Pistol Of Land Service Type With “GR” Lock Signed On Tail “H.W. Mortimer & Co” Circa 1807.
9 inch round barrel molded at the breech. 65 caliber. Breech with gunmakers proofs and “LONDON”. Convex bolted lock with crown over GR and Mortimer signature as previously stated. Bolted lock with gooseneck cock and bridled frizzen. Brass regulation style mounts.
Figured dark walnut full stock. Steel and brass deeply patinated and untouched. Stock is excellent with one minor loss on left side 3 inches from muzzle. Action is extremely strong on both half and full cock. Steel ramrod of correct type a later replacement.
