Patchbox contains a number of ancient percussion caps.
Long adjustable rear sight. Action is crisp and bore is good. Designed by dentist, Dr. Edward Maynard, inventor of the tape priming system that bears his name, First Model Maynard carbines are desirable and sought after as a considerable number were purchased by Southern States and used by Confederate cavalry in the Civil War.
