A WWII Japanese Type 19 Cavalry Officer's Dress Sword with an untempered chrome plated blade.
This is a variation of a Type 18 Army riding sword for a company grade officer. It has a quality tsame handle with all wiring perfectly intact and a now defaced silver family mon.
The blade is western-style with a length of approximately 34 1/2 inches. The metal scabbard is dirty but generally very good with some patches of oxidation near the throat.
