A Fine Silver And Niello Mounted Greek Or Ottoman Bichaq Circa 1835.
8 inch single edged blade with punched decoration inlaid with silver (losses). Yataghan style grips affixed with expanded silver flower rivets to tang. Grips engraved and decorated with niello flowers and scrolls.
Yataghan scabbard of very heavy silver with relief chased panels of scrolls and niello borders of fine quality and design. Condition of blade is worn. 11 and 3/4 inches overall out of scabbard and 14 and 3/4 inches overall.
