Fine 19th Century Peshkabz
This is a A 19th Century Peshkabz with a blade length of approximately 8 3/4 inches and an overall length of about 13 1/2 inches out of the scabbard. (approximately 14 1/4 inches with the scabbard.
It has very fine hard stone grip scales; the bolster and pommel are green hardstone. It has a complex T-back blade. The scabbard has elaborately and finely pierced floral and bird motifs with extensive silver and gold damascening.
These weapons were designed to penetrate mail armor and other types of armor.
