This is a beautiful continental transitional rapier from circa 1640.
It features a superbly chiseled hilt with a floral design and scrolling on the hilt and guard.
The grip is wrapped in spirally twisted iron bordered with fancy Turk's heads.
The blade is in nice original condition, with a small armor mark in the central fuller.
