This is a
Superb Brescian Cup Hilt Rapier Circa 1620.
The blade length is about 41 inches and has extensive light to moderate pitting, see photos.
The handle is pierced in suit with the guard, and the pommel appears to be a working-life replacement.
One of the quillons has an old silver solder repair.
This sword has been on the collector's wall for some forty years.
