A Colt Model 1849 Pocket Model With Scarce 5 Inch Barrel, Serial Number 119532 For 1855. 5 inch barrel, 31 caliber five shot. Octagonal barrel with two line New York address.
Cylinder with most of the “Stagecoach Holdup” scene visible. Frame marked “Colt’s Patent”. Brass triggerguard and backstrap. Original varnished walnut grip. Condition of barrel and cylinder with sharp edges. Cylinder engraving would rate fine. Backstrap and triggerguard are mostly mellow patinated brass with traces of silver. Frame is clean and crisp.
Grip has 90% original Colt varnish with ten minute notches on both bevels. All numbers match including loading lever and wedge. Action is good. One nipple absent. Bore is fair but with good rifling.
