Fine Islamic Kard from the Bukhara region of Central Asia (modern day Uzbekistan).
Featuring a fine Damascus blade of 7 1/2 inches, this kard is in overall very good plus condition.
The hilt has bone grip scales; the bolster set with coral and gem stones probably garnet or ruby; also has silver and niello decorated fittings.
The scabbard has a wonderful belt loop decorated with silver thread in the Islamic Seal of Suleimann and is set with silver chape and with enamel inlay locket.
Overall length in the scabbard is approximately 13 1/2 inches from the tip of the scabbard to the pommel.
A quality item rarely seen from this area.
