11 and 3/4 inch three stage barrel octagonal at breech. Convex banana shaped lock engraved with late 17th century style vines and scrolls. Swan neck cock, Unbridled frizzen (repaired). Plain steel triggerguard. Spurred steel buttcap, Early French pattern book steel sideplate.
Figured and raised carved walnut full stock repaired at fore-end with over varnish. Early turned steel ramrod pipes. Replaced wood ramrod. One crack ahead of triggerguard caused by side nail, Stock inlaid with silver wire at breech tang and butt. Action works properly and bore is poor. Steel barrel, lock, and spurred buttcap are worn, with minor pitting and staining.
This is a nice long (18 inches) early French holster pistol despite its apologies and would definitely benefit from some careful cleaning and restoration.
