Nineteenth Century Salute Cannon.
Designed to shoot blanks, this 19th Century cast iron salute cannon seems to have a defective firing mechanism.
Weighs in at 22 pounds; overall length of 22 1/2 inches; wheel diameter is approx. 8 1/2 inches.
With a bore length of 13 inches and bore of approx. .64 caliber, this has been painted silver at some time in its life.
This cannon is sure to impress and would be a prominent item in an 18th Century or US Civil War collection.
