A Good Genuine Early 19th Century American Iron Signal Cannon On Original Cast Iron Wheeled Carriage.
The black painted iron tube with bulbous breech weighs 17 and 1/2 pounds. 10 inches to cascabel. Over 3 inches in diameter at touch-hole. Well cast iron trunnions. This is no toy but made for use. 1 and 3/8th inch smooth bore. Condition is smoothly rusted under black paint from outdoor use over many decades.
