A French Napoleonic Period Brass Mounted Flintlock Musketoon For Chasseurs With Incredible Unusual Long Range Rear Sight With Arabic Numnerals Circa 1810.
33 inch barrel. 69 caliber. The round barrel with series of French proofs in left side of breech and “MI” in an oval. Bolted front action lock with brass pan.
Walnut full stock with period carving and recessed cheek rest in the French style. Brass mounts including three barrel bands. Barrel in good condition with staining. Hammer strikes sparks from frizzen and mainspring is strong. Stock with wear and minor bruises. Crack just forward of lock. Sling swivels. Iron buttplate. Rifled bore is fair to good.
