A Good Late Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver Serial Number 319475 For 1869. 4 inch barrel and 31 caliber.
A “One Line New York” with 6 shot cylinder, this is the classic Colt Pocket Model that so many Americans carried West in search of a better life than offered in the East.
The barrel is plumbed out but retains traces of bright blue original finish. Cylinder retains no finish but nearly 100% of its stagecoach holdup scene. Frame and hammer have strong traces of color casehardening with no pitting or wear.
Loading lever is crisp and unnumbered as is the case with these post Civil War Western Expansion 49’ers. Brass backstrap and triggerguard with untouched toffee color.
Grips with 85% original Colt factory varnish with minor marks and one small won chip at toe. Matching wedge with fine rifled bore. Pin safeties worn. Action is crisp and indexes properly.
A clean, tight 1849 Pocket with more finish than we have mentioned.
