The Finest Allen & Wheelock Center Hammer Army Revolver We Have Ever Seen.
7 and 1/2 inch half round, half octagonal barrel in .44 caliber.
Flayderman estimates total manufactured 700. The condition of this Allen & Wheelock Army is incredible. The grip screw is mint and unturned preventing removal to check serial number. Barrel retains nearly 95% ultra bright original blue. Frame is at least 95%. Cylinder with 95% original blue. Hammer with 95% fading blue. Trigger with most all blue. Loading lever with 99% vibrant color casehardening with “rainbow” colors nearly mint.
Walnut grips with 95% original varnish and a few extremely minor marks. Nipples are perfect and face of cylinder with all blue indicating this revolver is unfired. Action is as tight as a brand new Smith & Wesson.
