Italian Peaked Cabasset Of One Piece Construction Circa 1600

This unusually good helmet is 9 inches high. Weight 2.77 pounds. The brim with rolled edge. The helmet features the characteristic and artistic peak at the apex of the skull. 15 brass and steel lining rosettes decorate the base.

Condition of the exterior rates excellent for an element of armour from this period. Interior is deep age brown slightly rough from the hammer. The armorer’s or town mark is clear and sharp. All the rosettes are original.
