Good Etched Islamic Persian Qajar Khula Khud (Helmet) With Central Spike And Long Chain Mail Camail.
The Rim Etched With Islamic Calligraphy Circa 1865.
An impressive example measuring over 24 inches in height including camail. The bowl is finely etched throughout with Arabesque bands inhabited by birds fish, rabbits and nobleman. Long nasal with traces of silver Damascening (missing screw). Both plume holders intact with traces of silver Damascening. Tall central spike ensuite.
With the exception of the nasal screw the khula khud is all original. Slight wear to etching but this is an unusually large and complete example and shows very well.
