This is a very good quality Liege proofed folding trigger percussion pistol circa 1850.
The action functions well. The pistol has an impressive exotic black hardwood (ebony) grip. The grip has percussion cap storage box in the bottom which is accessed by a silver lid. The silver lid is ornately decorated with a wolf's head and other objects.
The overall length of the weapon is approximately 7 1/4 inches. There is extensive good-quality engraving on the boxlock and hammer. The .52 caliber barrel has some light oxidation. This pistol exhibits much better quality than the average Liege proofed pistol.
