A Fine Pair Of Genuine Best Quality Cased London Flintlock Half Stock Dueling Pistols By William Wilson Number One Vigo Lane Sackville Street London Circa 1805.

Classic 10 inch octagonal barrels. .52 caliber smoothbore. Breeches with platinum cartouches stamped W. Wilson, London. Barrels retain nearly all of their fading Damascus brown finish. Signed bolted stepped locks with roller bearing frizzens, rainproof pans and push-on safeties. Engraved sawtooth borders, hammers engraved ensuite as are frizzens. Some niter blue remaining on frizzen springs.

Finely engraved trigger guards with pineapple finials and trophy of arms on the bow retain 90% original ‘peacock’ blue. Superbly engraved breech tangs. Vacant oval silver tyhumbpieces.

Figured walnut half stocks with ultra fine checkering on butts in fine condition throughout. Both pistols retain their original ramrods. These lovely duelers are cased in their original mahogany case with green baize lining and elaborate Wilson trade label in lid. High quality casing with split ring carrying handle. Full accessories comprising cleaning rod, bullet mold, screwdriver, patch cutter, oil bottle, key, and very fine original leather covered “three way” powder flask.

This is a very high quality all original cased set of best quality London flintlock dueling pistols, in their original case for a change with original accessories. A set that will be difficult to improve upon.
