American Full Stock Longrifle (Kentucky Rifle)
An American Full Stock Longrifle (Kentucky Rifle) converted from flintlock to percussion.
This is a plain style Kentucky, or "poor boy." The barrel has some oxidation with the maker name on the top, most likely "Zimmerman." The barrel is about 38 1/2 inches long, and the overall length of the rifle about 54 inches. The bore is about .38 caliber.
The action works but is sticking as the set triggers work some of the time and need some adjustments. The wood is generally good with a crack on the right side of the rear stock. There is heavy pitting around the ignition point.
The front sight shows some damage, and it has a replacement ramrod.
