24 inch saber blade with narrow fuller near the spine and a broad central fuller extending through the point. This splendid blade retains nearly all of its original mirror bright polish after more than two centuries. The well forged pierced steel hilt is adorned with a finely filed crown and cross. Waisted, reeded horn grip remains in excellent condition. Globose steel pommel. Struck at forte with maker’s initials “W B” unknown. The pierced knuckle guard depicting a cross hilt sword with a flamberge blade.
