An Unusual Middle Eastern Dagger “Kard” With Gold Damascene Decoration In Unique Yataghan Style Silver Scabbard Circa 1820.
8 inch blade gold Damascened at forte. Damascus blade stained and difficult to discern pattern. Hilt Damascened with gold flowers. Morse ivory scales with pronounced crystallization.
Heavy silver scabbard with panels of gilded silver. 13 and 1/2 inches overall. 15 inches overall in scabbard.
Overall good condition with silver bands retaining the Morse scales. Unusual card.
