A Large And Highly Unusual Khanjar Hilted Gold Damascened Indo Persian Dagger With Long Sinuous Sosympata Style Blade Circa 1800.
15 inch long blade showing lovely mechanical Damascus pattern. Nine finely cut grooves enhance the beauty of this dagger blade. The forte is chiseled in relief with two gold Damascened tigers on each side below a gold Damascened elephant with rider. Sinuous spear point and a notch to catch opponent’s blade 6 and 3/4 inches from the point. Steel khanjar style completely decorated with gold Damascene pattern of expanded blossoms, leafy meander.
Condition of blade is pristine showing little wear to decoration or pattern. The hilt with minor wear but mostly gold decoration is present. This beautiful and most impressive dagger is 19 and 5/8ths inches overall. Do not miss this one!
