A Scarce Antique Winchester Model 1886 Round Barrel Rifle Serial Number 118056 For 1898 In 33 WCF.
24 inch round barrel. 33 Winchester Centerfire caliber. This model configuration and caliber is rarely found made prior to 1899. The barrel exhibits a smooth blue brown patina with traces of brighter original blue. The half button magazine retains 65% of the original blue. Frame is smooth gray steel with little wear. Hammer and lever in same smooth condition as the frame.
The full dimension walnut fore-end with some original varnish and little wear. The shotgun butt is full dimension with 70% original varnish and one minor dent on right side. This antique 1886 retains its original hard rubber checkered buttplate with raised “Winchester Repeating Arms” logo in fine condition.
The bore is good and the action is excellent. Frame screws are excellent. Front and rear sights are original. This is a really nice 1886.
