A Very Handsome And Fine Quality Long Silver Sheathed Ottoman Flintlock Holster Pistol Circa 1820.
14 and 3/8th inch round barrel with central rib and inlaid with silver arabesques at breech. Fine quality engraved lock with lovely swan neck cock, bridled frizzen, and engraved and sculpted frizzen.
The walnut full stock entirely covered with repousse silver decorated in leafy foliage and blossoms. The wrist bound with elaborate twisted silver wire. Sideplate repousse ensuite with fore-end. Lovely solid silver triggerguard pierced with a finial. Solid silver spurred buttcap with relief mythological monster face pommel.
The action is good on both full and half cock. The bore is fair. This is an exceptionally attractive kubur pistol and is an impressive 22 and 1/2 inch long.
