Silver Mounted Daghastani (Caucasian) Migulet Holster Pistol Circa 1825

A Silver Mounted Daghastani (Caucasian) Migulet Holster Pistol Circa 1825. The 12 and 1/8th inch round barrel chiseled at breech of elaborate fine Damascus. Fine diminutive migulet lock with deep sunken maker’s mark with Arabic calligraphy. The fine figured Circassian walnut full stock is decorated for half its length with well engraved coin silver overlays (losses). The engraved silver buttcap of characteristic Daghastani form. Barrel is retained by two silver capucines. Condition of the barrel is good with the beautiful Damascus pattern clearly visible with only minor wear. The lock is even age brown with a replaced mainspring. Silver decoration with some wear. Lock functions but hammer is slightly loose. Stock is good with one tight crack on fore-end. 19 inches overall. This is a handsome Caucasian migulet holster pistol.
