An Incredibly Elaborately Decorated Massive Ottoman Migulet Lock Tufenk Circa 1820 With Earlier 17th Century Silver Inlaid Barrel With High Rear Sight Pierced With 9 Apertures.

33 inch fine Damascus octagonal barrel. .45 caliber. The barrel of excellent Damascus with minor wear to silver Damascening at breech of leaves and vines. Gold maker’s poincon in gold Arabic calligraphy. Silver panel is a full 10 inches. High rear sight finely formed with silver Damascened lines on its sides. Silver Damascened breech tang. Large migulet lock with silver beadwork and lines, the plate with silver overlay (darkened).

Figured Circassian walnut fullstock decorated throughout its length with intricate and elaborate silver wire in Arabesques and flourishes framing large and well executed bone panels. Barrel held by two capucines. Steel ramrod (replaced). All the ultra elaborate inlay is in good original condition. The bore is fair. Action functions.
