An Excellent, Possibly Unfired, Civil War Martial New Model Remington Army Percussion Revolver Serial Number 110993.
8 inch octagonal barrel. 44 caliber six shot.
This is an exceptional example in every respect. The barrel retains 95%+ inky original blued finish. The loading lever in equally fine condition. The cylinder with 75%+ brilliant blue with two patches of flaking and visible tracking line. The frame with 90% original bright blue with flaking only on back and front strap. Untouched honey color brass triggerguard. Grips are superb with razor sharp “GR” inspector’s cartouche.
The grips on this Remington are equal to those on the 99% Remington New Model revolver that recently sold at auction for $76,325.00. Bore is mint and action is perfect. The hammer with generous traces of casehardening. Without the two flaked patches on the cylinder this Remington could be rated at only a few percentage points below the $76,325 world record holder.
The finest New Model Remington it has been our pleasure to offer to our loyal clients.
