Good And Original English Civil War Period Cromwellian Style “Lobster Tail” Helmet Circa 1640

The one piece skull with six fluted panels. The upright finial pierced with a hole. Long nasal. The brim stamped with four slashes. Rare original earflaps pierced with seven small sweat holes. “Lobster tail” of four lames.

This helmet is all original even retaining its nasal screw. Interior with even age brown patina. The exterior polished over ancient minor expected corrosion. The classic helmet worn by both Roundheads and Cavaliers during the tumultuous years of civil war.
