Good, Original And Attractive German Munich “Town Guard” Comb Morion Circa 1600

An original comb morion over 400 years old. The skull made in two pieces with roped comb. Brim with “pie crust” border. Large polished embossed “fleur de lis”. The comb polished. The remainder of the helm blackened steel as is traditional with this well known type. Ten brass lining rosettes (two missing). The helmet with interior rough from the hammer.

Overall in good original condition with one inch long crack on the left side of the brim. A genuine 400+ year old helmet of a well known and highly collectible variety.
