A Rare And Beautiful Austrian Silver Mounted Agate Hilt Dagger Circa 1740.
The 7 and 3/4 inch single edge clip point blade struck on left flat with s blade smith’s mark. Silver quillions. The agate grip of unusually beautiful agate faceted throughout its length and then faceted with diamond shapes at pommel. Blade is secured with a single silver pommel nut.
Original tooled leather scabbard with silver shape and locket. The agate grip with no chips and is of the finest quality. 12 inches overall.
