Fine Colt Model 1862 Police/Pocket Navy Revolver With Ejector

4 and 1/2 inch round barrel .38 rimfire caliber. With total production of this most handsome Colt conversion estimated at only 6,500 this is a scarce Western Expansion period collector’s Colt. The barrel retains 60% original blue finish with an interesting slot cut to improve sighting. The cylinder with 100% crisp stagecoach hold-up scene and matching number. The frame with 85% fading casehardening and very sharp “Colt’s Patent” marking. The hammer with much vivid original casehardening.

All numbers match except un-numbered wedge. Most screws are crisp with good slots. Lovely original walnut grips with 85% original varnish and no appreciable marks. The bore is good and the action exceptionally crisp. The ejector rod is slightly bent.

The Police conversion with ejector is very much like the legendary Open Top only smaller. This is a very fine example.
