Factory Etched “Apache” Style Pinfire “Fist” Revolver With Folding Trigger And Ivory Grips Circa 1870

1 and 3/4 inch barrel/cylinder. 28 caliber pinfire. The barrels finely rifled and etched with foliage on the flats. The frame etched ensuite. Backstrap etched ensuite. The original cleaning rod is retained in the butt.

The ivory grips are finely shaped with a lovely mellow patina and no chips or cracks. The steel surfaces patinated but the etching is deep and crisp. Mechanism is excellent and trigger rebounds smartly.

This is a superior quality, well decorated example of this unusual 19th century pistol favored by Parisian toughs in the late 19th century.
