3 and 3/8th inch Spanish form barrels (half round half octagonal) with cannon muzzles. 40 caliber rifled barrels. Breech flats are decorated wiith florals enhanced with gold Damascening (worn). Stepped engraved unsigned bolted locks. Bridled frizzens. Swan neck cocks engraved ensuite. Steel side plates engraved ensuite with locks and cocks. Triggerguards are engraved with acanthus. Engraved spurred steel buttplates.

Highly figured walnut full stocks are raised carved behind breech tangs. Actions are very strong on both full and half cock. Metal surfaces are clean and smooth and stocks with some wear but are good overall. Ramrods are fine replacements.

These attractive pistols are cased vertically in a fine veneered antique box. Accessories comprise a good French powder flask with raised Medusa likeness in good condition, a brass and ebony ramrod with concealed worm, a fluted, rosewood handled screwdriver, a horn box with spare flints, a steel bullet mold, and a Bery’s Patent exotic wood box containing ancient lead balls. The case interior lined in old green velvet showing age and wear.

Vertical cased sets are rare in themselves and this set would look striking in any collection of flintlock pistols. Pistols are 8 inches overall.
