Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver, SN 270402 for 1865
A very nice, full dimension 1849 pocket revolver with some scattered minor pitting and occassional dents and dings. Remnants of original blue visible in protected areas. Cylinder scene mostly visible, all numbers matching, and action functions perfectly.
Wood grip retains about 75% of original varnish with some chipping to the base. Wood shows no shrinkage. Old repair to the nose of the hammer. Most screw heads are in very good condition with minor, if any, damage to slots. Wedge screw a relatively recent replacement.
This revolver presents very well and is priced to sell.
