Very Rare and Desirable US Model 1860 Cavalry Saber by Millard.
Millard received the smallest US Civil War contract issued for only 10031 pieces, making this a very rare item.
The blade has some staining but no pitting. The scabbard is generally in good condition, some light pitting toward the drag. This is in 'as found' condition and can be cleaned and polished if desired.
The grip is intact with original wire wrapping, the leather underneath is good with only a small amount of flaking.
A scarce and desireable Civil War Sword from the smallest manufacturer to receive a government contract.
