A Good Civilian Mounted WWII Japanese Imperial Army Samurai Sword Katana.
26 and 1/2 inch cutting edge. Ko-choji bright temper line. One piece steel traditionally water tempered. Ubu nakago with one hole signed Kanenobu. Copper habaki. Floral decorated sentoku tsuba with two hitsu.
Blue silk wrapped handle with matching floral katakibori engraving fuchi kashira. Chrysanthemum menuki. Handle wrap in excellent condition and very tight. Black roiro lacquer scabbard in fine condition.
The fine blade is in good state of polish with a few stains and one area of very light scratching. No chips. A very nice civilian mounted katana perfect for collectors or for cutting green bamboo.
