A Very Fine Full Silver Mounted Scottish Dirk Embelished With The Cross Of St. Andrew With Elaborately Carved Bog Oak Grip Circa 1835.
11 and 3/4 inch stout blade with pierced holes and serrated spine. Silver mount goes into the bog oak grip. Pommel with silver Cross of Saint Andrew. Silver scabbard mounts engraved with Scottish thistles. By knife and fork with silver St. Andrews pommels. By knife stamped W R for King William IV and Rogers Cutler to Their Majesties.
Condition of blade is very good with some light staining. Grip is excellent with lovely hand worn golden patina. Scabbard with tooled leather rates fine. This is a very handsome Scottish dirk that will delight any discerning collector of daggers or Scottish edged weapons. 16 inches overall.
