A Good New York Engraved Merwin & Hulbert Pocket Army Revolver Serial Number 1706 And Internal Number 817 (Matches Cylinder) With Factory Pearl Grips.
3 inch barrel. 44-40WCF caliber. The frame profusely scroll engraved in the New York style of L.D. Nimschke. Backstrap with classic Nimschke sunburst. Barrel scroll engraved. Cylinder engraved with scrolls. All engraving is of the period.
This handsome Merwin retains 95% of an old soft period nickel refinish. The action is good and still locks up tight. Bore is good with frosted rifling. Original pearl grips are excellent, fit perfectly and retain good “fire”.
