An Attractive 18th Century Brass Engraved Italian Socket Bayonet For A Flintlock Hunting Gun Circa 1750 In its Original Scabbard.
7 and 3/4 inch double edged spear shaped steel blade with central fuller engraved with scrolling foliage. Ricasso engraved with circular design. Brass socket engraved with swords, flags and grotesque face. Original brass tipped leather scabbard (holed).
Blade lightly patinated. Brass socket with minor damage but otherwise very good. A must for the bayonet collector.
